BRITNEY SPEARS BIOGRAPHY
Britney Jean Spears was
born Dec. 2, 1981 in the small Southern town of Kentwood, Louisiana where she
has lived most of her life. Its right to say she is the true and biggest
superstar of the modern age. You may imagine her fame by witnessing the fact
that the keyword " Britney Spears" is searched most then any other star on
search engines. Her full name is Britney Jean Spears.
Her parents are James Parnell Spears, a building
contractor, and Lynne Irene Bridges, a former grade school teacher. Spears'
brother, Bryan, is one of her managers, and her sister, Jamie-Lynn, is an
actress and singer. She was devoted to music at early age and started taking
jazz, Ballet and tap classes. With her dexterity she often became the group
leader and joined dance competitions and regional festivals. Britney started to
show her flair by singing for the choir in the local church. In New York she
studied professional performing arts. She also attended the Off-Broadway Dance
Center in New York and was a member of the televised Mickey Mouse Club. She
lived in Orlando for two years to do the show. After the show ended, Spears went
back home to Kentwood, Louisiana and entered high school at 14. Spears briefly
joined the all-female pop group
Innosense. She later decided to go solo and a few years later recorded a
demo tape, which landed in the hands of Jive Records. She was signed to that
label and began touring American locations for a chain of concerts sponsored by
American teen magazines, before joining *NSYNC and becoming their opening act.
In 1999, at the age of just 17, Britney released her debut album ..."Baby One
More Time". In the video of title song she portrayed as a Roman Catholic
Schoolgirl. It was a hit worldwide and made Britney a star overnight. This album
topped the Billboards charts and sold over 20 millions copies. She also won many
awards including the 1999 MTV Europe Awards for Best Female Artist. Britney next
co-authored a book with her mother called Heart to Heart and did an extensive
worldwide tour.
In 2000, Britney released her second album
Oops!...I Did It Again. With this hit album Britney detained the attention
of millions of fans. In 2001, Britney released her third album, Britney that
included the hits Overprotected, I'm Not A Girl, Not Yet A Woman and Slave 4 U.
In 2002, Britney made her film debut with a
starring role in Crossroads. She also did a cameo in Austin Powers in Goldmember.
On January 3, 2004, she got married to Jason Allen Alexander, her childhood
friend, in Las Vegas after a drinking binge. Their marriage was annulled just 55
hours later on January 5th. That same year in September 2004, Britney married
her former back-up dancer Kevin Federline. They have two sons, Sean Preston
(born September 14, 2005) and Jayden (September 12, 2006). In November that
year, Britney filed for divorce.
